Wavecrest Surf School
Wavecrest Surf School was founded on Dolphin Beach, Jeffreys Bay in 2005 by Libby Moon — a passionate surfer and educator who saw a gap in the market for genuinely personal, high-quality surf instruction. What started as a one-woman operation has grown into J-Bay's most trusted surf school, with a team of dedicated instructors, hundreds of five-star reviews, and thousands of happy students.
We're based at Kitchen Windows on Dolphin Beach — the ideal learning break in Jeffreys Bay. It's mellow, consistent, and perfect for first-time surfers and intermediates alike. World-famous Supertubes is just down the beach, and yes, we talk about it plenty — but we teach where the waves are right for you.
Expert Instructors
Every instructor is First Aid certified, ocean safety qualified, and genuinely passionate about sharing the stoke. We don't just teach you to stand up — we teach you to surf safely and confidently.
Small Groups, Real Coaching
Maximum 6 students per instructor — averaging 4 — so you get real coaching, not crowd management. You'll spend more time in the water and get more personal feedback than at any large commercial surf school.
Prime Location
We're on Dolphin Beach — Jeffreys Bay's main beach, right at Kitchen Windows. The waves here are perfectly suited to learning: long, forgiving, and consistent. Supertubes, one of the world's best waves, is visible just down the beach.
